If GM collapses, as by any rights of reality it should have a while ago,
then it is the job of a free market for someone to come in and fill the
void.

The question is, do you want the US Government to rescue them until
they can get back on their own feet, or do you want foreign competition
taking over the auto industry?

What surprises me is that during the 8 years of the Bush regime, he
and his Republican buddies didn't do more to keep these major corps
afloat so they could hold their own.

I really figured if everything else in society was falling apart, the major
corporations and banks would remain above the fray just from their
hoards of cash and their good friends in politics.
