However, incompetence always leads to surrender of control, and the real or perceived incompetence of the Bush admin resulted in exactly that.

All we can do for now is hope for the best. Failure is never an option and will have consequences.

What bothers me is that we risk being like an out of control diabetic with wild spikes of plus/minus chemistry. The consequences of that can be fatal.
