I see mass hysteria is alive and well

A week or so ago, nobody in the USA heard or cared about the swine
flu that apparently came from Mexico. Now the news is blaring about
it and suddenly everyone who gets a sniffle thinks they have the disease.

So frikkin tiring watching the same human behavior patterns over and over.

Just a few years back, everyone thought the SARS virus was the Big One.

All we need now is a big comet appearing in the sky and that will be it.

And of course we have 2012 to deal with, complete with a film coming
out about it.

Remember when everyone thought the world would end on January 1, 2000? That was nine years ago now.
