Me: Gitmo WAS/IS the easy solution. It means you don't have to have them on US soil. It means standard rules (hopefully) don't apply. It means you can get away with murder. Literally.
Closing Gitmo is not the easy way. Keeping it open is.

the rest isn't much better. Nice comparison between torture and Predators. Nice too, that the question is about 6 years too late but never mind.
