This guy made a joke about the Mars Rovers imaging a skull on the
Red Planet.

Apparently, according to his comments in the comments section of this
Web page, more than a few wackos took him seriously:

This is why if there are any real fossils on Mars, or if an actual ETI does
visit Earth, it will be dismissed and a priceless scientific opportunity will
be lost or delayed thanks to the ranks of amateurs and nutjobs.
