I am a huge Johnny Depp fan.
I think he's one of America's finest actors, even with that ridiculous accent. And I know it is unfair to judge a movie one hasn't seen on the basis of one scene shown out of context.
But how can anyone call that episode "romantic"? (I assume it is not a fantasy or dream sequence, or a satirical sketch). He's about as sexy in that clip as the Wild and Crazy Guy characters from SNL. He is a grotesque caricature of the Latin lover, a cartoon exagerration of a stereotype. The girl he seduces should be embarassed at falling for such a transparent schmuck, and the actress who portrays her should be insulted for being asked to portray women as such unthinking bimboes.
