How about that giant monorail system they were going to build which
got co-opted by the car companies in the 1950s for our interstate
highway system instead?

I would like to see a lot more public transportation services, especially
out in the rural areas, if this nation is serious about reducing our
dependence on foreign oil and resources for two things.

And how about giving zepplins another chance? Ah, the romance of
drifting across the skies in comfort in a huge balloon. If only we could
dock at the Empire State Building as they originally planned, until they
found out the winds were too strong up there.
