Let's cut through the crap. You have no clue whatsoever what the backgrounds of the other justices are, where they were brought up, what their life experiences are. And you don't care.
Clarence Thomas is black, and grew up in racist Georgia in poverty. He worked like hell to get where he is now. Given your theory of "balance," there are damn few people who would understand racial issues as well as he could.
And the Left, currently lecturing us on how "experience" and "background" make for a better court, hate Clarence Thomas with every last fiber of their being.
The hypocrisy is deep enough right now to cover ten-story buildings.
Liberals like Sotomayor because she's liberal. They hate Thomas because he's conservative. That's as far as it goes. Period. All the other "analysis" is just noise to make them sound like they have complex principles.

- Gingrich and Limbaugh call Sotomayer "racist".
- She is. But so is 40 percent of the US electorate.
- If Gingrich and Limbaugh oppose her, that is a good reason to vote FOR her.
- Well if "La Raza" isn't a racist organization, I don't know what would be.
- The GOP is playing the race card
