Is it necessary to point out again that Medicare is going broke?

In fact, it is going broke to an extent that eclipses every other government program. Combined.

Anyone who declares that the solution is to put 300 million people on the program is not playing with a full deck.

And yes, I know about the salary cuts, rigid price controls, rationing, lack of bureaucracy (in a government program) and all the other "cost cutting" ideas that are supposed to happen when the government finally has total control of the entire industry. To the economically insane, these measures are somehow supposed to increase quality of care, innovation, number of skilled medical personnel, new drugs, and all the rest.

I'm not buying it, and this isn't the only subject where Moyers has been as full of shit as a Christmas goose.

Think about this: the ones who were on the enthusiastic receiving end of all that lobbying are the ones you want to control our health care. It takes two for corruption to work.
