Apparently Madoff had a valid strategy.

A friend of mine in that industry, a guy who is certified as qualified to rate other money managers, says that Madoff could have made a lot of money had he followed the strategy Madoff says he did.

Another friend says he follows Madoff's strategy and has netted a fortune the last year, with only a couple of losing months against some very good months.
