ER; Have you tried renting a car, or getting a hotel room, or ordering something online with just cash?

No car rentals, no Motel rooms, when I need to use a card for the Web, I buy a prepaid one. It's cheaper than the ruinous interest rates the Card issuer's have.

Look, I am well aware of the Credit Industries constant manuevering to make us get one, I won't play. It's my godammed money! I work hard for it and I absolutely refuse to give in so some faceless Corporation can take part of it. Scroom, and the mule they road in on.

I am hard-headed enough to find a way to work around all of it. I am old enough I don't have to concern myself with any long term issues when it comes down to it. And, finally, I can see though all the horseshit they shovel out; well enough to know they don't give a flying fat rats ass about their customers. Their only concern is how much of our cash they can get, period.

Ain't the smartest rat in the cage. But ain't the dumbest either.
