Let's see most Republicans deny the problem even exists and have had the ability to filibuster, the Presidency, or outright control of Congress through most if not all of the last 29 years. Yes they are the reason this issue has not been addressed.
When you deny the reality of the issue yourself the claims of false accusation ring especially hollow.
