Hey, I can't access that image either, even when logged-in as administrator. That's strange, because it would mean that nobody but you could ever view any images you upload, even if you posted them on .net...and what good is that?
The .net software doesn't allow HTML as a simple security measure (throwing out the good baby HTML with the bad bathwater HTML), but it lets you use a special "wiki syntax" to mark up your post. That includes inserting images with the squirrely-brace notation you picked up on:
{IMG(src="http://habitablezone.net/tiki-download_userfile.php?fileId=32",alt="Eri's file")}{IMG}
The IMG tag works with regular URLs. There' another tag called IMAGE that supposedly accepts tikiwiki file ID numbers:
{IMAGE(fileId=>32 title=>Eri's file)}{IMAGE}
Neither one worked for me in a post on .net, but I could see images from my file gallery using IMG tag. I'll bet you'll see the opposite. Bummer.
Sigh...I'll keep poking at it. The list keeps getting longer, but time grows shorter--found out last week that we have to be moved by the end of this month, which forces me to prioritize, and (considering we don't have personal file galleries here and it's an upgrade) we may have to live without that feature for a while.
