Very wrong method of education
OK if French Children are incapable of matching American students in memorization feel free to define planets in French in a manner that makes no sense just so they can memorize an abbreviated list. It's pretty simple really. Start with the planets up to Neptune. There will be 9-12 including dwarf planets. Leave the icy dwarfs for more advanced classes. There is no way you can convinve me we shoudln't teach children accurate and logical definitions, because we want to go easy on them. That is dumbing down education which I am firmly against.
