You're spot on JW. Here is a cute editorial about Al Shepard the "Icy Commander" and the at the time controversey over reaching the rim of Cone crater, or not. Glad to see the LRO photos confirming that they were 10s of meters away and their samples WERE of the ejecta. Note who is in the comments section...Edgar Mitchell!
