Screen-captured the problem in a nutshell: A mob of simpletons liking each others' ignorant opinions in a social media circle jerk. We hardly even notice it any more, but each of those tweets had a Like icon, in a streaming relay race handing off the bullshit baton.
"Yep, that's my thought too!". A single stupid, poisonous thought, carefully nurtured and shared among millions of morons.
Remember the days when we naively believed the Internet would open up an intellectual Renaissance? What seems to have actually happened is a collapse of intellectual diversity as the gullible and easily-manipulated are brought into global alignment in the rightwing monoculture. Any surprise that people who hate diversity would end up goosestepping in lockstep?
