Exhibit A: This is the face of the Trump voter

There is really no atrocity they won't swallow and defend- they will go down any dark road with this president, because the alternative is to admit they were craven fools...
The more they swallow, the harder it is for them to turn back... once they compromised their 'principles'-their souls-they HAD to accept the next thing Trump shoveled out, or admit their previous sins of acceptance.
Now, when Trump needs their fervent support, all he has to do is commit an atrocity- because the more abhorrent his behavior the more mindlessly devoted his supporters become- because the most dangerous thing they can do is think about what they have let themselves become... so they just tell themselves that since it pisses off liberals it must be good, take off their thinking caps and put on their MAGA hats.
Two years ago RobVG would never have endorsed such things- he would be outraged if you suggested he would, but as he forced himself to accept the bigotry and racism, as he accepted the dehumanization of other human beings trying to survive- in that process he dehumanized himself.
They had to work hard to turn themselves into what we see today... this is self deception that took conscious effort.
There is NOTHING, no matter how cruel or inhumane, they won't support if Trump tells them to. NOTHING will be 'a step too far'.
Remember that in the coming months... it will likely be all too relevant...
