One detail was a revelation
Seeing Lindsey Graham perfectly channel Trump yesterday, I remember (now) being struck by how often Graham appears in "Fear". Not as a peripheral character, either, but almost like a close Trump confidant, one who could be counted on to encourage Trump's worst and darkest impulses.
This seems to have begun when Graham's longtime friend John McCain announced his fatal illness, and began to withdraw from public life. Up until that time, Graham had been viewed as Robin to McCain's Batman.
It seems that Lindsey Graham's integrity died of brain cancer earlier this year. Yesterday, Graham emerged from mourning.
