But that's not going to stop the nomination. The only thing that will stop Kavanaugh is an honest Republican Senator. Don't hold your breath.
The GOP simply doesn't care whether Kavanaugh is a criminal or not. Their goal is simply judicial support for their legislative program. He could be convicted of multiple sex crimes and their attitude would be "But how does that affect his ability to rule on Obamacare, EPA, and corporate taxation?" That's exactly how they feel about their president. Sex crimes? Hell, he never even had to show his tax returns.
