Number one, spending is not being cut. The spending increases over the next ten years will be smaller than they would otherwise have been. Obviously, if we were spending less money, we wouldn't need a two trillion dollar debt limit increase. And for the next two years, the spending reductions are almost invisible.
Number two, Democrats believe that only government spending creates economic growth and jobs. They are horribly wrong.
The Great Depression lasted over ten years while this same mistake was being made.
