Aliens no matter how advanced would still be imperfect biological beings. They would still live and die. Their civilizations would likely have at least some, if not many, of the problems ours does. The invisible hand of supply and demand would still govern their economics. Alien civilizations would likely not be monolithic but have diversity. They would argue and disagree and fight among themselves.
For whatever reason, biological life in the universe evolves over time into more complicated forms. That said, there is no reason to dismiss the pattern on earth as unique to this planet. Humans will never evolve into the Expanse's proto molecule, or whatever that thing is that doesn't like the proto molecule. It's likely Alien civilizations will be more like us than like "gods" imo. Even if their technology allowed them to manipulate gravity they would still be imperfect beings.
