In a truly sane and just world she would be charged for reckless endangerment and be held legally and financially for the harm caused to those she infected (with the virus and her lies).

The barbarians are no longer at the gates- those gates were flung open and they were welcomed in by those that sought to exploit their mindless and passionate ignorance and bigotry... and it worked- those authoritarians gained power and we had all the support structures of our democracy being chewed away by the little monsters while the bigger monsters that gained power due to them stomped away on the upper floors- the structure is no longer sound, it will collapse... and soon.

These people are a minority, and they know it- but they have the advantage because they are unconstrained by decency, morality, legality... they have no problem with destroying democracy because they believe the resulting authoritarian state will cater to them- a foolish belief, but one that has inspired countless little men, some forgotten, some infamous, to do terrible things.

They are like toddlers losing a board game deciding to overturn the board and stomp out rather than 'lose'.The adults are left to shake their heads in sad disappointment as they try to put the pieces back together. But after THIS tantrum many of the pieces will be gone for good, the board will forever be marred- and the adults in the room may never get the chance to duct tape it all back together because the toddler will continue having increasingly violent tantrums and lash out even more as he realized he is still a loser.

I have a very dark vision of the future, I am sad to say...not just our nation, but the human race- and I am not sure there is any path ahead of us that doesn't lead to hell. Fall is in the air, and I am not talking about the season.
