The Kennedy Space Center

Back in 1980, when I was 17, my mom and dad had come back from a Caribbean cruise and flew me from Seattle to Miami to join them there. We visited a bunch of attractions but what stands out is the KSC. We had all watched the moon landings and it was a thrill to see the space program up close. I even got to push the launch button at pad 34A. I have a pic of mom sitting on the moon rover.

A "few" years ago my brother and I traveled there to watch the last launch of the shuttle "Atlantis". It was actually the second to last launch because they decided to fly it one more time.

I have a pic of my brother sitting on the same moon rover. Those trips are two of my fondest family memories.
