So far, all the "video" I've seen

seems to be from a form of imaging device I'm not familiar with. I don't know if it is authentic, or even if the imaging system itself is legitimate. Even if the equipment is real, I can't tell if the imagery hasn't been manufactured or faked. I can make some judgement about film or video, I've seen a lot of it. But these grainy, indistinct objects zipping by what look like painted cloudscapes are supposed to be hi-tech IR scans or something similarly exotic, but they could be fakes. They might even be training films used to familiarize their operators with the gear.

The objects appear featureless, or roughly rectangular in shape, but nothing else seems to be discernable. The cloudy backgrounds look painted or animated, or on a roller, and the UFOs appear to be electronically imposed on them. They just don't look like real images of real objects moving in front of real natural backgrounds. Since I have never seen this type of scanner tech before, I can't make any judgement about the objects, other than to say they "just don't look right".

It looks and feels like Victorian ghost photography. People back then fell for it because photography was new and few people were familiar with it.

I heard the Grusch testimony described as "FOAF stuff". Stuff I heard from a Friend Of A Friend.

What I really find puzzling is the lack of comment from Hi-level Pentagon brass: neither an explication or a denial. Its like they want someone to believe the story to distract us from something else. Maybe they are trying to get the Chinese to believe we have some really hot new tech so they'll spend money and effort trying to figure out what it is. If I had to come up with an explanation for all this, my guess is its a cover story for something totally different. A feint within a feint.

There is a precedent for this. A few years back the Soviet press was full of UFO stories. Of course, nothing ever came of it. But how could newspaper articles about UFO fantasies be printed in a country where the press was rigidly controlled by the Communist Party?

OK. I can see I'm not really adding much more to this discussion than just my own speculation. I get that. But I'm not making claims that the earth is being visited by alien spacecraft, that we've known about it for years but are covering it up, and that we have alien hardware and corpses squirreled away in secret DOD facilities. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence..
