Gaza is and has been an independent Palestinian state for about 20years.

That is a real stretch, Buck... they are not an independent state... they are more like a prison camp.

And now it will become a slaughter house.

The violent retribution to come will kill far far more on both sides than were killed in the initial attacks. And the Gaza civilian death toll will be orders of magnitude higher.

Netanyahu has told Gaza civilians to leave... except the civilian population of this 'independent' state has no where to go, they are locked within their borders.

The 'independent state' of Gaza relies on Israel for power, and water...

There is no excuse for what these monsters did... but Israel helped create the conditions for breeding these monsters.

Will the coming blood bath accomplish anything positive? Nope, it will only make things worse. Everyone understands that. But everyone also understands that the retaliation MUST happen. There is no world where such a brutal attack on Israel is not answered by brutal violence upon the citizens of Gaza.

And when it's over the fields will be fertile enough to give rise to orders of magnitude more militants that Israel manages to kill in this operation.

Everyone knows this, but they take the violent actions anyway, simply because it is what MUST happen.
