Please look at a map of Gaza. It has a border with Eygpt that people somehow always ignore in their endless criticism of Israel. Always blaming Israel for blockading Gaza, but never Egypt. And FFS can you blame the Israelis for blockading their sides of the Gaza border? At least 700 dead civilians on the Israeli side of the border right now. 260 who were at a music festival.
Gaza has been administered independently by the palestinian government of Hamas for nearly 20 years. You can say they are not technically a state but they are defacto a palestinian state. No foreign power controls how they run their territory.
And we know what that palestinian state looks like. It is not peaceful. It is not friendly. Jews do not walk around Gaza like palestinians do in Israel. Anyone who thinks for a minute that there is anyway of making peace by giving up land is a fool.
