Mixed feelings
I’ve always been a space enthusiast, but I don’t like the costs and don’t see the benefits outweighing them. “Exploration” isn’t a great answer, because aside from developing tech that might be useful on Earth, there probably won’t be any astounding discoveries. And I have serious doubts that civilization will last long enough for us to become a truly spacefaring species.
Give Mars to Musk and let him pay for getting there.
