I restored the ability to select your own theme hoping that people would try out different ones and post feedback, and my scheme is working. Darkroom was a good default choice because it's basic black (and white and shades of grey) and goes with anything, not to mention its vague resemblance to the previous design.

If we can agree on one of these canned themes that's in the right ballpark, I can customize it further by editing the CSS (with tongs and rubber gloves). I can correct for misaligned bits, and I can hack away columns that are in the way (non load-bearing columns, of course), fine-tune colors, etc.

BTW, there are more themes available at themes.tikiwiki.org. If you see one there you like, let me know, and I can install it here for everybody to look at.

So keep messing around with themes. I'll see about getting a survey about it put together, or lure somebody who's already played with polls/surveys (hint hint).
