Seriously. You voiced similar criticisms over on the previous software, and I agreed with you.

The whole package is loosely-integrated set of stuff that doesn't do any one thing particularly well. That shows up for us, with our orientation on conversing through forums, as a glaring deficiency in forums.

I'm flattered. I say that in some modesty, because over the years I'd seen all the other forum software in the entire world converge on this format, seemingly leaving my tree-shaped threaded forum design a fossil from another age.

Now I know better. I'm working on a Flash widget that recreates the tree without requiring me to also hack the server side (much). I'd post an alpha test tonight, except, to be honest wit' ya, I'm gonna go watch Warehouse 13 in a few minutes. Maybe afterward, or in the next day or so.

So I don't mind the criticism, it's valid; just don't give up just yet. We just moved into this prefab hut, and I haven't hacked and sawn it to my liking yet.
