MPLM may be left on ISS

The intention is to leave one of the Multi-Purpose Logistics Modules (MPLMs) at the ISS. http://tropics.net.au/europe-looks-to-buy-soyuz-craft.html
Seems like a good idea to me. I've always thought it would be a waste to bring them back when the shuttle retires. They can always use more storage space. and like they say it would free up space on the ISS for more science. I would think one problem would be that it would take up a docking port. Maybe they would have enough since the shuttle won't be requiring one after it's retired. Then again if the Orion ever flies it would need a port. How many docking ports are there anyway? If it is feasible they should leave both of the MPLMs attached. Another thought though is that They are also used to take garbage and other unusable equipment back home so I guess the last one could be used for that. Perhaps they could modify the last one so that it can be launched to the ISS on it's own like Japanese HTV.

(I found this posted as a comment on the Space/Science wiki page. I moved it here since I am certain that was delbert's intent)
