it really doesn't matter, i am going now. these are american issues, and must be decided by americans. as a visitor here, i have no business commenting on them. i had hoped with the opening of the new zone i could now participate without getting involved in your politics. but i was eventually dragged in, and i can blame no one but myself. as your tb likes to point out, no one put a gun to my head and made me take sides.
i speak the language here, know your customs, so i can pass for a native. but i can see now i am just a north american, not an american. there is a difference, and no matter how much i am welcomed here, i will always be an outsider.
but on this awful september 11 anniversary, please allow me one bit of advice, to all you americans: you already have enemies, monstrous and terrible enemies. you don't need to make up any new ones.
