The first discovered exoplanet with a 'solid' surface. Really?
I think the news story neglects the fact
that three planets orbiting a pulsar were discovered
in 1991 or 1992.
All 3 planets have solid but deadly radioctive surfaces.
This 'new' exoplanet with a 'solid' surface can't
be entirely solid.
I's too close to its star.
3,600 degrees Fahrenheit on one side, hot enough
to turn stone into white-hot molten goo.
The nightside of the planet admittedly probably does has a solid
surface, but it might be freezing cold on that side.
