Good news for Public Insurance option
A poll found 57% of americans support the idea of a government run public health insurance company to compete with the private insurance companies.
57% of Americans support the public option. That number climbs to 76% if the public plan is limited to those who can't afford private insurance on their own. And a bare majority -- 51-37 -- supports having Democrats go-it-alone if that's what it takes to get a public option.
Anyone opposed must be brain dead. Further, the House has put together a plan cheaper than the Baccus Bill that has a strong public option.
In other news, Obama has shown a willingness other Dems have not to add malpractice reform to the health care reform bag.
