I stumbled onto this gem while trying to find evidence to corroborate a report from a pro-Junta Honduran colleague at work that foreign pro-Zelaya radio and TV broadcasts into Honduras were being jammed by alleged CIA counter-propaganda experts. Not surprisingly, my colleague actually approved of the broadcast jamming because it was in a good (anti-Communist) cause.
I could find no evidence (or even reports, from either left or right sources) on the net of anyone jamming TV and radio broadcasts, but I did find this. In Central America, it is often difficult to tell who the players are without a program, and I'm not going to even try to comment on this. I submit this for your consideration, but note the against-the-grain mentions of Soros and the NYT. The usual caveats apply.
"Miami Herald makes up story on Zelaya, Washington Post and New York Times spread it
By Wayne Madsen"
"WMR usually does not comment on propaganda masked as news emitted daily by the corporate media, but the September 24 report in the Miami Herald deserves to be panned for its flagrant attempt to portray ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya as a foolish “conspiracy theorist".
"The neocon blogosphere and the George Soros-funded faux progressive outlets were all quick to claim that Zelaya’s “mental state†justified the military coup against him in June."
Soros and the Times must have something going for them. Everyone seems to hate them.
