I was lucky enough to see the peak of the Leonids in 2001 as a real meteor storm, near my home in Melbourne Australia. There were dozens and dozens of meteors, in the early morning, each lighting the whole sky. Although partly cloudy, the spectacle was undiminished and far, far better than these videos. each meteorite, even in the morning sky, was as bright as the first couple of videos. No mere streak in the sky but a genuine source of illumination.

I even dragged my young kids out to it, and it may be the best sky show they ever see in their whole lives (Unless EP turns out to be right, after all!).
