Matthews made the statement he did based on a certain widely-accepted premise. Your own first response on this thread was founded on the same premise - a hostility of the Left toward the military that is decades old.
Again I have to emphasize that Obama is less of an offender than many others in the Democratic Party, and so far I'm looking at his Afghanistan policy as a "glass half full."
A large percentage of the "arguments" I get here are along the line of "how could you SAY such a thing," which, of course, is no argument at all.
