You've highlighted one of the things that distinguishes Liberals from Conservatives: You're personalizing the "war on terror", making it about knocking off the bad guys one by one, and if we could only kill 'em fast enough, someday we'll get ahead of the seemingly-endless stream of terrorist recruits.

A Lliberal looks for a root cause to fix in order to permanently fix the problem. It's never about individuals; it's not even about Osama bin Laden. If it hadn't been him, 800 years of history and modern circumstances would've created somebody to focus all that resentment. The Conservative approach of fixing the blame instead of fixing the problem guarantees war without end.
