i just overheard on the am news...

us military authorities are rushing to encrypt data downloaded from predator drones used in pakistan/afghanistan due to reports the enemy is hacking into their transmissions. although there is supposedly no risk the militants will be able to take command of the drones, they can still determine which targets are under surveillance and therefore at high risk of attack, allowing them to implement countermeasures. i presume they can start holding weddings at those sites.

america has a way of systematically underestimating its enemies. i guess that's one of the drawbacks of exceptionalism.
