The shrieking rant here. Obama was supposed to take us into the glorious future, the People's Democratic Republic of America. Nationalize health care, energy, you name it. Destroy the rich, destroy private wealth, and enslave all of us to the almighty State.

The author, unsurprisingly, hails from the hermetically-sealed environment of liberal academia, where most of the remnants of modern communism thrive now. If you are talking to a professor of political science, I'd give odds of two to one you're talking to a communist.

To be a Marxist/communist/far-leftist/progressive/choose your euphemism of the week/, after the countless and horrifying demonstrations of the last century, requires the destruction of one's own brain. Such a person needs to float into the red-lit computer core of his own mind, insert the tool, and slowly slide out one crystalline block after another until reality, reason, and history make no difference to his ideas any more. Almost nothing in this discordant screed is factually correct.

You can get away with this at a university. It's like a nature preserve for the irrational. Such people are teaching our young people. I have no idea why Marxists as teachers should be treated any differently than Nazis as teachers.
