Updated Vista 64 to Windows 7

Went pretty smoothly. If you do it, and you want to update an existing system instead of doing a "clean" installation, be sure to match your upgrade Windows 7 to your existing Vista. If you have Vista Professional, get Windows 7 Professional. Or Ultimate to Ultimate.

Addendum: I learned this the hard way. I'm now stuck with a Windows 7 Professional disk I can't return.

Had a "Blue Screen of Death" halfway through - heartstopping - but on restart, the rest proceeded smoothly. There are points during the installation where things often seem to be hung up permanently at "18 percent" or something, but have patience. It takes some time, but eventually the process continues.

Had to switch mail to Outlook, since the Windows Mail program disappears with Vista. A "compatibility test" program checks your applications and peripherals. The only snag I had was having to re-install Itunes.

Everything seems to be running okay so far.
