Let me know when a man-made fusion plant makes enough electricity to run a digital watch.
So far, after 50 years and hundreds of billions of dollars, humanity has produced exactly zero joules of electric power from fusion. I thing it is time to try something else.
If it can't be done after 50 years of intensive research, then either:
1. It is impossible;
or
2. It is so difficult and expensive that it is not worth doing.
