A question for Podrock on the discovery of a crystal lunar outcrop.
Hi, Podrock.
If you haven't seen the science story yet,
it can be found on the pages and website of
New Scientist magazine (January/10/2010).
The background is is that the Chandrayaan-1
has discovered a huge outcrop of plagioclase crystal
within the Orientale basin: a 'mountain of crystal',
so says the article.
Precisely what type of minerals (and maybe gems)
are associated with plagioclase, Podrock?
