The Myth Busters is one of the better science programs on television today. Their examination of urban legends using a series of well thought out experiments teaches people about the practice and advantage of the scientific method. That, and they blow stuff up.
The other quality science program these days is How the Earth Was Made. It's a bit repeatitive at times, but overall it does a good job showing the process of geologic investigation to understand our planet.
