I saw one start-up company talking price. AU$8,000 (US$7,500) for a 1.5 kw unit. It was only economical if you used it 24/7, sold power back to the gtid at premium prices, AND used the waste heat as a hot water heater.
(And if interest rates were low and reliable AND the fuel cell didn't need replacing early)
