If by "intelligentsia," you mean Ivy-League pampered elitists who came out of their schools not a lot smarter but firmly convinced of their social superiority and right to rule over the "proles," no, they aren't.
And that wasn't the point, was it? These protests are real, and I'd bet most of the sign photos aren't. The Democrats in Congress know who these people are. They're voters from their districts, and it's going to be a rough election. The Democratic Party does not aim one its famous PR shitstorms at people they're not afraid of.
