My wife and I love this show, mostly because of the lovable main character "Walter".

This season Walter has revealed that he nabbed his son, Peter, from a parallel universe when he was a child. This was to save Peter's life after his own son "Peter" had become ill and died in this universe.

A pleasant change this season (so far) is fewer hokey CG gross-out scenes like the ones in just about every "SyFy" movie.

The show is so enjoyably entertaining that I don't even bother to pay attention to the science. There was a cool scene where Walter had built a "window" to the parallel universe that revealed a Zeppelin docking to a high-rise on a dark Chicago skyline (evidently Germany had triumphed in the other universe). The explanation for how it worked was something about collecting stray photons from the other universe but it went in one ear and out the other...
