North Korea attacks across the 38th Parallel.
That probably got your blood pumpin'.
And yet it happened. 60 years ago today.
June, 25, 1950.
It took over 30,000 American lives, thousands of British, Australian, Canadian,
Turkish lives too.
But the worst losses fell upon the Koreans themselves. Over 2 million of them died.
I had someone close to me sent off to fight there.
Because nobody thought much of Korea back then, except Russia, America and the rest of the world weren't prepared for what happened.
Are they prepared today?
The son of the dictator who sent swarms of T34 tanks and troops south on that
June day 60 years ago is still in power.
