I may agree with you, pending further developments, on this issue.

I'm reminded when the Government stepped in and broke up MaBell into Baby Bells & AT&T. What do we have now? Pricing that has gone steadily up and AT&T has now swallowed Baby Bells so they're the one and same company again (more or less). Talk about an exercise in futility and idiocy.
