Giving the old ThinkPad an upgrade
Not too many more avenues left, but I added another 256 MB of RAM (bringing it to its 1 GB max), and enlarged the hard drive from 100 GB to 250.
I used to do a disk cloning manually (a real pain) but this time I spent about $40 and got a Drivewire cloning kit. Set up real easy, and now it's grunting away in the other room, cloning my old drive onto the new one. Will take a while - it has to squirt all my data through my Thinkpad's USB 1.0 connection.
