It looks like appearances can be deceiving. They haven't gone up, but down. OTOH, it may be that the news coverage has been more intense or that I'm paying more attention now that I'm retired. Everything seems more intense when you no longer have a job to worry about. Freedom to worry about more globally important things. 😁
